I offer massage to individuals by appointment within my home. The massage room is a dedicated space, which is spacious and welcoming. It is on the ground floor and there is parking outside the property. A bus service passes close by. My qualifications include the ITEC Diploma in Massage, which includes Anatomy and Physiology. I have additional diplomas in Advanced and deep tissue techniques, and Pregnancy massage. I am a member of a professional body: Complementary Therapists Association (CThA). This means that I follow a professional code of conduct in my business. Myself and my premises are insured.
My fees are as follows:
- 60 minutes, eg. full body massage – £37.00
- 40 minutes, eg. half body – £27.00
- 30 minutes/, eg. back, neck and shoulders – £22.00
Payment in cash is due at the time of your appointment.
Please note that I review my fees annually and they may increase in line with local charges and my training.
Your first appointment
Your first appointment includes a 15-20 minute consultation for which there is no charge. I need to learn about:
- your medical history;
- current health;
- goals you wish to achieve from your massage.
I need to know if you have any condition that contraindicates massage or that might need your GP’s or another health professional’s permission to continue. I may have to avoid massaging areas affected by certain conditions.
You can ask me questions at any time during your appointments.
Your privacy is important to Tamar Wellbeing. We keep your records as securely as possible and your data is not passed to other parties for marketing purposes.
I will ask you for a brief update since your last appointment. It is important that you tell me of any changes in your health and medications since completing your initial consultation. We will then discuss what you want to achieve from your massage.
I understand that people get ill or unexpected events crop up; however, if you can, please give a minimum of 24 hours notice that you are unable to attend your appointment. This gives me time to try and find another client for your time slot, or even better, you could find someone to replace you.
Cancellations received with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows may be charged to cover my time and overheads.
To provide a fair service to all my clients, your appointment will end at the time it is due to regardless of the time you arrive. If you book an hour appointment for 10.00am but you arrive at 10.15am, your session will still end at 11.00am. I plan time between clients so that I can write notes, prepare the room and sometimes timetable a little self-care, so reducing this time may affect these tasks.
What I do not offer
You will find information about all the massage treatments I offer on this website. I do not offer alternative treatments or ‘extras’. If at any time during an appointment I feel that your language or behaviour is inappropriate your treatment will end immediately.
